What to Expect

Your First Visit

At the Middletown Animal Hospital we realize your time is valuable so we try very hard to adhere to our schedule, so your wait time will be minimal.  For your first visit we ask that you arrive approximately five minutes early so that we can set up your file and your pet’s medical record.  If you would like to streamline this process, please download our new patient form below and bring it with you.

For your convenience, feel free to download our Dog and Cat Vaccination Fact Sheets below as well.

The doctor you will be seeing will perform a complete physical examination and will make every effort to address the reason for your visit, as well as answering any questions you may have.  If your first visit is with a new puppy or kitten the doctor will discuss vaccination protocols for both “core” vaccines as well as “lifestyle” or optional vaccines.  The doctor will help you with husbandry and feeding issues as well as making recommendations about the appropriate time to spay or neuter your pet.

Our objective with your first encounter with the Middletown Animal Hospital is to set the stage for a long, fulfilling, and complete companionship between your family and ours.
